S250 Turbo Heater/AC making a lot of noise, but not moving very much air?

Just got my first skid steer! It's an 04 S250 equipped with factory cab heat and AC. Both functions appear to be working. However with the fan speed set to full blast I am getting very little air out of the vents. I can hear the fan motor screaming behind my head (and see it because the cover is basically falling off). Is there some filters that could possibly have never been changed? Or perhaps some duct work that's plugged up (that i can hopefully get to and clean out?) Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are two filters, one outside the cab right below the rear window and the one inside the cab where I guess you are looking at the motor. Be careful removing the outside filter. The knobs can rust and be easy to break if not careful.

Well I'm guessing that I'm missing the filter inside the cab as I can look in the grate and see the motor? Would the filter normally be on top of that? I'll check the one outside the cab tonight. I'm going to take a while guess and say those knobs will be rusted as well. Any tips on getting them out after I break the knobs off?

Welp the one of the two knobs outside the cab was already gone, and the other one just broke off. Took the filter out.. it was super clogged dirty. So I tried running it without the filter... no change. Still barely getting any air out of the vents :(

If you can see the squirrel fans turning freely and at good speed, my guess would be the heater core/evaporator fins are jamb packed with dirt preventing good airflow. Having no filter inside the cab allowed any and all dust/debris to be pulled through the fan trying to make-up for the clogged external filter.

My squirrel fans are cruising. Ok next question from the noob, where should I be looking for the heater core/evaporator fins? Somewhere by the radiator?

The heater core and AC coil will be housed with the blower motor. On my skid steer, there are 4 nuts that hold the complete heater assembly to the cab. Once the cab is in the raised position it's easy to remove the nuts and lower it down for internal access. Once you have the heater box opened it's easy to use a brush to gently clean away all the debris blocking the fins. It was a night/day difference on the amount of airflow after cleaning mine. You can go to Bobcat's website and pull up the parts manual for your particular unit to see how everything is assembled and it's not a bad job. http://landing.bobcat.com/parts/?btname=%2Fpartsandservice%2Fgenuine_parts&btplcmt=Adobe+Pull The HVAC system is usually in the Accessories and Options category... and might be on the 2nd page so look for "next" and click it.

I had the same trouble with my S250 as well. I tore the whole HVAC system down, cleaned the all the fins for the AC and heater. Put it back in and had barely a breath of air coming out still. Took it down once again, and I guess at one time someone took the blower motor out and when they put it back in it was in backwards. Flipped it around and it blew hard air out of the vents. So I would try flipping the motor around and give that a go.

couple notes on this. 1 little push nuts for knobs are replaceable. its a crush type fastner so its apain without proper tool . never seize knobs every time there off. under cab on hvac box two drain titties cut off the tips so the will acuatlly drain. on thousand hr svc clean hvac box blow and garden hose and a shot feebreeze. if you gota replace the blower don't even try to just get motor. get the assy cages don't go back quite right worth the xtra money. not on this model but its worth a mention that there is secondary air assist fan back right vent removed you can reach in and touch it and it will chop a finger tip. no protection on blades so watch it.
