Picked up a machine that seems to have an intermittent issue where the lift and tilt seem to freeze when lowering the bucket, but will still lift, then sometimes trying to lower it will lift it. Same issue with tilting. Sometimes it'll go all day with no issue. Fluid looks good, no leaks. My boss just started getting in to buying n refurbishing used bobcats, so I'm kind of learning as I go. Been sneaking pointers from the forum for a while, but haven't found an answer for my symptoms yet. I greatly appreciate any input.

The issue seems to be most prevalent at high rpms. From what I can tell this is an earlier model as we also have a 2009 s250 (in rougher shape) this one doesn't state a year on the tag, just serial number.

You said it looks a bit rough, are all the linkages free to move? I bought a machine that had rust on some panels that would push against the pedal linkages, making it quite hard to operate them.

Thank you for your response, Tazza. The pedals seem to be functional. At random it will work fine, and even when malfunctioning it often works at low rpms. I'm thinking it may be valve related, but don't know where to begin. Currently trying to persuade my boss into buying a repair manual.

I have often gone to clients with the same complaints. and most often reason is worn out bushings of the pedals and mud underneath them. As the bushings falls, the pedal moves the linkage very little. If there is rubbish at the bottom, the linkage hooks in it some times and does not pull or lightly pulls the plunger on the valve.Write an email i can send you service manual.

I'd greatly appreciate that walio Couldbeanyone88@gmail . Com I really don't think it's pedal related but I'll inspect them further. As I said, often pushing the pedal to lower the boom causes it to raise. Thanks again!
