Just purchased a used [3000 hrs] Bobcat skidsteer. Has cab and air only air does not work. I would like to start troubleshooting with the simple things first. If it is not something simple, then what might be the likely problem. And what might this cost. Only thing I know about this is that he said he took the belt off??? Thanks for your help

I'd start by having the refrigerant checked. It may need a boost. The machines we run at work (t250's) also have air and when it quits working its always been that. Why he took the belt off is something only he can answer.

Taking a belt off or disconnecting a component is a little suspicious as I recently found with my 743 alternator(which was toast). Hope its only the refrigerant.

taking the belt off sounds like a locked up compressor. I will call the past owner and see if I can get more info.
