Hi. I'm new to this forum and I hope someone can help. I have a 2004 S185 Bobcat with ACS controls(hand and pedals controls). In hand control mode, when I open the four in bucket and have the arms a quarter of the way up and then go to raise the arms, the arms actually drop about 100mm or so before they raise. Also if I have the arms up in certain spots and move the machine around, it feels like the arms are floating up and down. I have had someone watching while this is happening and they have said that the liftarm cylinder rod is moving up and down in the cylinder without me lowering or raising the arms.Has anyone come across this problem before. Also there are no error codes that show up to say there is a problem with the machine. It only seems to happen in the hand control mode and not in the foot control mode.

Sounds like you may have a bad seal in the lift cylinder piston.
Seach hydraulics testing and there is a manual with instructions in the “manuals” thread
