Our bobcat - s185 2007 the problem we are having is when u start it up cold the entire vehicle works great but after 2-3 minutes the lift and tilt start to slow and finally stop working with only a small studder of movement. the drive controls work fine at all times just the lift/tilt stop working. we have changed coils and tested solenoids all seem fine chased wires for bad spots. looking for a little help here this thing is driving me and the other mechanic crazy. the pedals are always free also they never lock up. fluid is full. this all happened after we pulled engine/fuel tank to weld the rear axles which were both snapped off the housings. everything is back in place and all hoses are routed correctly. wires all plugged back in. if you need any more info to help out just ask. thanks in advance for any ideas.

That machine lives one hell of a life to snap axles off. I have seen one machine do it and it was very hard abuse, bobtach changed monthly and new boom arms every 6 months. Back to your problem. Simplest fix would be the the wrong fluid in it. Other wise, flow equals speed. Test the pump, this is not an electric problem. Stone cold the fluid is thick and can take up the leakage in the pump. As it warms, the fluid thins and bypass in the pump. I have a feeling this machine oes did have the cleaness fluid in it.

this machine is abused about every day its running at the recycling companyi work at. i was really hoping it wasnt the pump. we do keep up with service on it and filters all changed out regularly. right now it has all new fluid and filters because we did a full service on it and some other work while it was down for the axle breaking. any idea on what pressure i should be looking for at the pump .. the service manual says to test with a flow gauge but all i have is a pressure gauge.

Check to see what pressure you get at the quick coupler. Spec is 3300 psi. If it gets to the point it can't lift the boom arms, pressure has to be low. If it does end up being a pump, after you change it, check releif pressure. If the pressure is too high it will destroy the pump. I had a T190 with relief over 5000 psi once.

This is a 07. Any codes/ low charge pressure?
Pretty sure there is seprate charge pump built into the hydro. '07 should be a K series with hydraulic fan and those have a "fan" pump so it may not code low charge pressure if the gear pump is shot. That is a very good point, that slipped my mind.
