S185 intermittent cranking issue

I have a 2005 s185 with 1200 hours on it. For the past few weeks, when I turn the key to start, it will engage the starter for a second or so then stop. Try it again and it starts. Sometimes it does this 3-4 times before it starts. Is that a relay, fuel shot off, or solenoid going bad or something else? Thanks

I would check the relay first. You can swap it out with another in the fuse panel to check.

Then clean your battery terminals and all ground points. Make sure they are all clean. Also check for loose connections on the starter.

It could also be a keyed ignition going bad.

Those are all the cheap easy fixes that hopefully fix the problem.
