Hello. I am new here but I have had a Bobcat for many years. Currently I have a 2004 S175 with standard controls and no added features and around 850hrs. A couple of times in the past it has not allowed me to run the machine because the operate button wouldn't acknowledge being pushed. But before it started working mysteriously. This time it won't start working again at all. I called the Bobcat dealer and he recommended me to swap my panel with another to test before purchasing anything (the panel is around $500). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The lights will turn on and off and I checked to see if any trouble codes were active and there were none. I am going to try to check for wiring problems today.

More then likly the panel is the problem and swapping it would be the easiest way to check if it is the problem. I'm guessing you have the keyless start. You can put a key switch panel in, but a bobcat tech will have to "downgrade" the software for it to work.

My Bobcat doesn't have the keyless start and the panel I am having trouble with is the one on the other side (LH panel) Yesterday I looked at the wire harness and checked the grounds and nothing looked bad. I also pulled every fuse and relay out of the fuse panel (just to insure good connection). I wish I would have checked to see if it would work after doing those things, but I also very carefully took apart the panel that wasn't functioning. The panel is sealed together very well and was difficult to disassemble without destroying it (I am thankful I was successful) I moved every connection I could inside the panel (to ensure a good connection) and looked carefully to see any obvious defects on the panel but none was found. I reassembled the panel and plugged it in and now my Bobcat works again!!! I just wish I knew which thing I did actually made my machine work again. But right now I am glad it works!! For now.

Glad you got it working but, man, that is frustrating. I hate intermittent electrical problems!!

You are so right, intermittent electrical problems can be a nightmare. If it happens again I'll try to do a better job of isolating which part fixes it (if I can).

Thanks Bobcatdan for your encouragement on what the problem probably was. That is what made me spend the time to take that panel apart.
