Hi, I'm new to this forum! I'm looking at purchasing my first skid steer for our farm. I found a S175 skid steer about an hour away. It's a 2011 model with 2990 hours. It was a one owner machine, owned by a nursery and maintained by the dealer. (They have all service records) From the pictures, it looks to be in pretty good shape. They are asking $15500. Does this seem like a fair price? What are the biggest things to look out for with these machines? Do they have any known major problems? I'm new to the skid steer world so any info would be very helpful! How long are these machines expected to last before anything major begins to fail? Thanks for all the help! Ben

There are no issues that i'm aware of, they are a vertical lift machine, which means you have more pivot points to wear.
It shoudl have a Kubota motor that is pretty good, as long as you don't over heat it. Over heating them cracks heads.
