New member here from Hawaii. Bobcat S-175 starts fine, runs for 3-5 seconds then shuts down. Pretty consistent. Sometimes 3, sometimes 4 beeps. Any help is appreciated. Aloha!
Does it have triangular head lights? If sho, press and hold the lights button and see if you get any error codes.
The 3 second shut down could be the fuel shut off coil not holding.
Looks like the belt tensioner slipped and caused the engine to shut down. Solution is to replace belt and tensioner, battery must be fully charged also. I had a mechanic from a local construction company look at it and he said that is a common problem with this machine. He literally diagnosed it over the phone and then did a visit to confirm. Hope this helps anybody else who may have a similar condition with their S175
