S130 loader arm taper pin hole repair

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums here and have recently purchased a high hour S130. I'm in the process of rebuilding the bobtach (previous owner ran the bushings to long before replacing). When I removed the bobtach, the taper pins were tight in the loader arms. I had to knock them out with a sledge and after I did I noticed taper holes been egged out. One was considerably worse than the other. Also, the taper pin on that side had on half of it broken off on the narrow end. I'm looking for options and opinions on repairing the loader arms. It looks like end of the loader arm is a weldment that slides up into the arm and is welded into place. It seems like the easiest and most economical repair would be to cut out the weldment and weld in a new one. The bobcat parts breakdown shows this part, however does doesn't list a part number. Anyone know of a source for these weldments? It's a 2013, which has the 1.5" taper pins. The Bobcat parts systems also shows a bushing (p/n 7160421) as a weld in replacement. I'm assuming that to install it, a person would need to line bore the arms. Anyone reworked the loader arms by using the bobcat weld in bushings? If so, how did you do it? Thanks in advance for everyone's help. I look forward to hearing them and I you have any other suggestions/fixes, those would be appreciated also. Kirby
 
I don't believe they are sold as parts. Our 753 was the same way. Our dealer was able to weld the bores and ream them back to original. To get by I have welded the holes and ground them with a die grinder not perfect but better than it was.

I had a 743 that the previous owner drilled the tapers out, I made some new pins and bushings and welded the bushings in. I made a shaft with the required taper at both ends so that the bushings were in alignment. I welded the bushings in, then cut the spacer rod.
Depending on how bad the wear is, as you did say that they were in there tight, you may get away with Loctite on the tapers to make them hold in place.
Is this an option?

Thanks for the reply. After I get the bobtach back in shape, I'm going to put it the pins back in and see how they hold.
 
if they were tight in the ldr arms. and to use sledge to remove . they had to be somewhat happy.. do you even need to go there. or where they cocked.?s seriously .the fit up of a bobtach. depends on pin to ldr arm fit. yes I recommend ream taper fit to give new metal cut 1/2 inch of pin if you have too.. but don't overthink it? I do recommend a straight edge pin to pin or put pins in and see bobtach bindiding. ldr arms might be tweaked. of course keep in mind not rocket science. yea I know you want it right. but ? its bkt and pivot. yes its the major wear point . my advice. clean it all up. shiny metal type stuff. lots o red Loctite. slap it together. put it to work make so coin and revist if you got issues.

I was told recently that bobcat offers new weld on bushings for some models. We are looking into doing this for our t320. Going to talk specifics with the dealer and see if it’s worth it
