I worked for a rental company and we had a New Holland skid steer and it would do that, the fuel relay had a timer built in and if it did not get a signal after about 20 seconds it would cut off we checked every thing replaced the control panel from different know running units and fuel relays and as if I remember correctly oil pressure units and water temperature, as it turned out it was put on jack stands infront of my tool box as that was where we had space for it and I was tired of it setting there so I jumped in it one evening checking fuses and I would start it and it would be running and die as the timer ran out, and as it was close to quiting time it had started to get dark in the shop and I noticed a flash above me and I thought it was in the fuse panel, and of course the unit died, I restarted it and watch and sure enough it would flash and die, I pulled each fuse out and checked them and they all looked fine and checked fine with a meter, I put them back in and same thing this time I saw which fuse and I checked to make sure it was making good contact it was so I pulled it and got a flashlight to shine behind it and sure enough it had a crack in it right next to where the fuse would blow, I guess the current low enough that it did not blow but the crack made it pull away so it acted like a switch, I replaced with a new fuse and took it out side and drove it aroung for about 5 minutes with no problems and parked it for the night, then the next morning I ran it for 15 more minutes to make sure it was operating ok and sent it to make money again.
The get a lot of vibration in the top of the rops so I guessthat could have led to the fuse to fail.
