I want to replace my spool seals on my S300 # 5258135##. Joy stick control. Can anyone tell me the best way to R&R these little blue seals.
It can be a little tricky with the valve still in the machine but definitely possible. Do you have a service manual for your machine? There's quite a few steps but the short version, start by removing your actuators, don't forget to mark which one is lift and which one is tilt, you will need a 3/16 allen wrench to remove them, once you get the two bolts out of the actuator pull it back and you will see a pin retaining it in the spool, push that pin out and your actuator will come right off. On the opposite side of the valve you will remove the cap for the other side of the spool, then slide the spool out. Then use your pic or small screwdriver and pull out each seal and slide in a new one.[No message]
Is it better to pull the unit out of the machine? I am a big man and old. I have the actuators out of the machine, but hard for me to see down there. Is it a real pain to take the spool assy. (whole unit)out of the machine? I do not have the manual. It can be a little tricky with the valve still in the machine but definitely possible. Do you have a service manual for your machine? It's not hard, just time consuming. Not a bad idea to pull the whole valve body to make sure you get the seals right so you don't have to do the job twice. Hopefully you got the arms in the air and supported before you started, makes the job much easier. Is it better to pull the unit out of the machine? I am a big man and old. Could you tell me about the actuator adapters. This machine has one old and one new style actuator. Both of my adapters look the same. In the parts book it talks about with O-ring groove and with-out grove. my newer actuator have the 762 number, but my software is V58. I am putting in 2 different actuators that are the new style so they need the 705 adapter. I cannot find any pics of the 6725128 adapter and I do not want to install these actuators with the wrong adapter. The ones that are in my machine look like the 7101705. any help here? It's not hard, just time consuming. Your software will work both the new and old actuators, just make sure your adapters are smooth all the way through the bore and do not have an o-ring cut out because the new actuators have o-rings on the end of them already.Could you tell me about the actuator adapters. Update on the seal change. I took the wheel off and the side covers and the job went smooth. thanks for all your help!Your software will work both the new and old actuators, just make sure your adapters are smooth all the way through the bore and do not have an o-ring cut out because the new actuators have o-rings on the end of them already.
Good to her it wasn't a hard job, i did seals in my S150 a few years ago, it wasn't hard, just fiddly.Update on the seal change. I took the wheel off and the side covers and the job went smooth. thanks for all your help!
