I have a Bob Cat S174 and the motor is not repairable and am looking at replacing it with possibly a Toyota 4y motor . Could anyone advise me on what motor I can put into it replacing the Kubota motor. Looking forward to some advise and suggestions .

I dont think it is worth the trouble to be honest. You will have more time and money trying to get it to work just to be disappointed in the end. The 4Y engine is gasoline and is fine for forklifts but will not be able to achieve the torque that your Bobcat will need to operate efficiently. Try to find a used refer Kubota engine and swap your good parts over.

Thank you for the advise . Is there a site to look for used Kubota engines ? Thank you

Ebay generally have reefer motors V2203
What is whrog with your current engine? everything can be repaired, it just depends on how bad it is if it's worth it.
