Replaced Head 763 V2203

Just replaced head on My 763 Kubota 2.2 machine ran great before this , but I had a crack in the head - purchased brand new head - head gasket kit- had injectors cleaned PSI tested. When started machine I could hear a slight pinging from exhaust area set valves 5-6 times thinking that I might be off, still have ping. Took muffler off checked cleaned up (muffler and exhaust is all newer replaced it end last year) all looked good put back together and same ping. Loosened cylinder #1 and it quieted down a bit but still slight ping. seems to be running fine except for this - Anyone have any ideas on what to check fix next or had this issue?

Not sure i have ever heard a pinging noise out the exhaust.
As it started and ran, i assume you did work out TDC to correctly set the valve clearance? i know when i hadn't done one before, i did set one 180 degrees out, it started and ran, but smoked a bit.
