I have an ls180 that I had to remove the pumps and flywheel cover for repair that was due to the hi-flow pump bearing going out. I don't want to replace the hi-flow pump since I don't ever use the hi-flow and just want to remove the whole thing. If I am correct I can also remove the extra radiator under the grill lid on top and all hoses associated with the hi-flow. I was looking for input as to if it is just a matter of following all the hoses and removing them that go to the pump and cooler or if there is more to it. I realize I will have to plug inlet/outlets from the filter line. Is there anything else and is there anything I need to worry about concerning wiring that goes to the switch that turns the pump on?

I am not that familiar with high flow but the switch controls the solenoid which redirects the oil flow to the control valve. The pump is always pumping oil but until the solenoid valve is activated it does not provide flow for anything. I would think unplugging the solenoid is all you need to do, but with no pump you probably do not even need to do that.

That makes sense thanks mike.
