rear lights

Whats up with the lights in the rear doors of Bobcats? I can't seem to get mine to last long at all. I also see many other Bobcats that do not have functioning rear lights. Does anyone have a trick to get the lights to last longer than a few hours?

I assume that the filaments are breaking, correct? Could you replace them with LED lights?
