I have a 2002 rc-50 with the 3024c engine. I am suspecting it needs new rings . Do i need to pull the engine for that type of repair?
My symptoms are no start just puffing black smoke out of the exhaust and smoke out the oil fill hole when cranking.
I will be doing a compression test this week.
I for sure have good fuel to the back of the injectors. I have cleaned and replaced up to that point and fuel spurts out if I loosen the back of the fuel line on the ejector.
I am not a mechanic, so any tips or advise is welcome on a task like this.
