thinking about selling my old 907 backhoe attachment. it's barely used, but its pretty old and some of the hoses and cylinders are starting to weep a little. I had a seal blow out a couple months ago, was not a tough fix but not something I want to do 5 or 6 more times, especially the swing cylinders. A friend of mine has a 709 backhoe that has been sitting in his garage since the late 90s that I may buy. it's like brand new, hardly used at all. How are the 709s compared to the 907s in terms of the swing? the swing on my 907 was ridiculous. almost impossible to control. I'm hoping the 709 would be a little smoother. Any insight would be great. And anyone around Boston looking for a backhoe attachment? haha

first off. swing can be slowed down by placing a restrictor in hose . came oem probally got lost on a hose change. one in each hose (little copper bell) FLOW RESTRICTOR. same pwr less speed. get the smaller one if to slow drill it out till happy.

i did put a restrictor in the 907. it did help, but not much. im sure i could have got a smaller orifice but i never got around to it. I'm just hoping the 709 is all around a smoother backhoe to operate, because no matter what i did i could not smoothly operate the 907. i got decent at it, after many hours. but I found it very inconsistent. So like the same movements are not the same twice. sometimes the boom would be quick and other times it would be fine, with no rhyme or reason.
