Hello everyone I'm havinng a problem with my S185, last time I turned it on preheating was working, but now it doesn't. I looked for fuses, relays, etc, and it seems that there is no signal coming out from the computer. The light don't flashes on right console and counter either on left and there is no code on. If anybody can help me or provide a copy of the service manual I'll be very apreciated. Thanks.

Is there a count down on the left panel? If it detects the engine is warm it will not pre-heat, i wonder if your temperature sender could be bad? not sure how it knows if the engine is hot enough to not need glowing, i would have suspected the main sender.

Thanks Tazza, but if the temperature sender is not working correctly I asume that there must be a code on left panel, I'll check that sender. If someone can share the service manual it will be very usefull. Thanks.

If the sender is short or open it will show a code, but if its just not changing from cold it will not always throw a code.
Like i said, i'm really not sure what tells the computer when the engine is warm enough to not need glowing, i just suspect its the temperature sender. It may be something else... A call to your local dealer may be able to give you ideas too.
