I have a 543 and wanted to know if someone can tell me where on the port block is the filter that needs to be cleaned/replaced. My manual does not show a filter?? just a poppet, spring? Reason I'm asking is my hydro light is coming and going a biso I'd like to elimate that filter as cause. Thanks

It may not have a port block filter, only a mani hydraulic filter.
If you remove the pressure sender in the filter housing and install a 150PSI gauge, you can check of the sender is bad. It should be 90-120 PSI i think, if its really low you have a problem. If its around 100PSI the sender is bad and the system is fine.

Could I just get a T and put it inline with one of the drives, then I could leave the gauge there also not realy sure about putting it by the filter? Wouldn't that be more of the return going to the oil cooler then the tank?

A T will do very little to tell you anything, its your drive system. You need to know your charge pressure. You need to find the charge pressure sender.
