My skid is a LX 865. The problem: The parking brake has been losing effectiveness over the past year and now it does not work at all. I've searched the forums and cant really find a fix for this problem. Maybe a symptom: With the Brake down (off) and with both sticks fully forward, the left side just slightly tries to outrun the right side.

Is this a mechanical or electric brake? Some use a cam like setup with a manual linkage to a pedal to hold pressure on 2 metal discs. Other ones use an electromagnet that drops a block that locks the discs. The mechanical setup usually has adjustments.

The drive speed symptom isnt related to your brake. that would need a linkage adjustment.
I have an LX 865.The brake linkage for both sides hinges off a bar operated by the handle. If you raise the seat and work the handle you can see it operate. The brake is inside the gear reduction box.
I have the procedure for adjusting the steering speed and the brake. I will have to log back on in about 2 hours. Ill type out the procedures then. Sorry Im out of time now. Mike
