I purchased an Owatonna 1000. It runs and drives great, engine purrs, strong hydraulics. It's in great shape. But it doesn't have any brakes, even when stopping and parking I have to put the bucket in the ground to prevent rolling. I am used to newer skid steers with a hydrostatic drive, where you return the controls to center, and the machine stops. I have a lot of hills on my property and am worried about runaway, and I would like to be able to stop on a hill and not worry about it rolling. I don't have a manual for this machine, so I don't even know if it has brakes at all, but it seems like something it should have. So if there are brakes, does anyone know how I adjust them or repair them? Thanks!
