Over the tire traction increasers

Anybody bought and used the gizmos that latch onto your skidsteer tires like chains and greatly increase traction? The guy selling them on eBay is from Mississippi. The cross sections are flat steel with raised edges and allegedly increase traction over and above regular tire chains. He sells 'em for 99 bucks a set for all 4 tires with shipping charges of around 200 bucks. Allegedly increase tire wear, too. Too good to be true or the real deal? A tape provided in the eBay ad shows the machine digging in real muddy slop but never bogging down, just chugs along bigtime.
 
Don't.......waste......your.......time. Not being a smart a$$ but that's a complete waste of metal....imo.

It does look like they give you more traction but that would be a rough ride on any harder surface, looks like a raised ridge in the center of the bar.
