I'm looking for a little help. I want to buy a set of OTT rubber tracks for a New Holland LS180. I have been to every website and looked at every video. Everyone states their product is the best and when I look at reviews I get very conflicting comments. Does anyone have personal knowledge on this issue and if so what do I need. I do a lot of plowing in the winter in northern Wisconsin so I need a track that will be good not only in the summer but also on snow and ice. Are the McLarens better because they have metal and rubber or are the ones that are all rubber better? Do they really work? I heard the wheels also come out if you turn hard, is that true? Please tell me something so I know what direction to go. Thanks

Most of the questions you pose are valid, one thing that none of the rubber over the tire tracks companies forget to tell you, if you have rubber to rubber contact, track to tire, you will do damage to the inside chains sprockets etc...I was told its like a tug o war going on with the drive parts and the tracks. The suggestion was to remove the two front drive chains to keep this from happening. Metal tracks over the tires would not require that. Also, many 100 percent rubber track require a tire size or type that fits the track. Remember no adjustment on the rubber track. Just my 2 cents! Good luck!

Hi, sorry to reply so late but I haven't had a chance to get to the forum the last few months. Anyway, I think you won't go wrong by either Grouser or McLaren OTTs. We personally carry McLaren Rubber OTT and they do a great job for us, but it really depends on your specific job application if you go with the rubber shoe or the all steel version. I've heard good things about Grouser OTT as well. Both of these OTTs have been on the market for over 10 years, so all issues have been resolved by now. Certainly, this is just from my expereince and way of thinking...
