Other yanmar model number engines that will replace a 4TNE84-MS

Had an employee fry my Yanmar 4TNE84-MS. I have been searching for a used or rebuilt 4TNE84-MS with no luck-maybe Im looking in the wrong places? Can anyone lead me in the right direction? What I have found are MANY 4TNE86. In the ads I am told that it WILL replace my engine with a FEW engine swaps. Does anyone have any insight on this? and yes the nitwit was fired.

There is no way to repair it? or is it too far gone?
It's a shame when employees simply don't give a crap about the gear they use. If it was their own, they sure would took after it!
