OMC Mustang 1700/JD 24/JD 170 Wiring

I need a wiring schematic for a JD 24 or JD 170 or OMC Mustang 1700 skid steer loader with ignition and no start button. Mine is the Ford in-line 4 Continental Vari-drive but any model with an ignition key only would probably get me what I need.

I looked at several versions of the Owatonna/Mustang operators manual and I don't think they ever bothered to update it with a key switch starter. I have two versions of a key switch wiring diagram from the Deere service manual and service textbook for the 170. Of course, realizing the Deere products had a Wisconsin engine. I just joined this forum and it will not let me insert images, only url's. If you provide an email address, I will send them to you. That should get you where you need to go.

Did you get what you needed from jonesallu? I have a 1200a and also have the JD 170 manual if you need more help or pics.

I did get the diagrams from jonesallu. They are a bit different than the 1700 with the Ford engine but should get me there.
