Wow, a 630 for a grand? Where do you live that they go that cheap? If you are within driving distance, I am on my way!!!I'm going to guess since that a new skidsteer is the same price as a nice pick-up today, I would guess $5000 to $7000 in '77. Not to make anybody mad, but if you pay over a grand for a 630 today, you are nuts.
Any skid steer for a grand for that matter. Around here if it runs the smallest no matter what age is $4,000. One the size of my CL55 is $6,000 to $7,500 if it runs and it's an 85. And prices in my area are low from what I have seen when I was looking for one. A machine similar to mine at one place was $4,500 and had a blown motor and 20% left on the tires, so I don't feel bad having to put a motor, radiator or battery into mine, it will still come out to less than $4,500, barely, but it's less than the going rate in this area or areas near here. My tires are around 85 to 90 percent so I won't have to worry about them for a while other than flats.Wow, a 630 for a grand? Where do you live that they go that cheap? I have a saying I tell customers all the time, " Old skidsteers are worth what stupid people will pay for them." Last winter a guy hauled in a 642 he paid $7000 for, it barely ran, had been on fire and very poorly repaired and the bucket was held on by an adjustable wrench dropped in where the wedges use to be.Any skid steer for a grand for that matter.
