Old unknown Melroe Skidsteer

Just acquired old rusty skidsteer.has a V4 wisconsin engine with metal # tag missing. I am retired and love to work on old machines and equip.If I can get it half way running it will be for play around our place. A few of the problems I have encounter so far is the missing eng tag and Identifing the machine so I can get some repair manuals. There is a metal tag in front of the seat on a cross member with the #'s 71552 and 600 and then Melroe. I cleaned the carb and got it to start and run rough . Nearest dealer is 70 miles away. went to napa and they all want the ID # for their computer.Did get plugs and wires ..... Dist. cap is in bad shape ...but I cleaned it and rotor and points. I know this machine is old but that is it.. It has three foot pedal on the floor- two steer levers and next to seat to left of driver is short lever that has to be wire back to keep the machine from moving...Learned this from trail and error...It seems like it is pre saftey ( like me) of any kind... Sear belt is bolted to top of cage.. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it Thank You in advance Chuck
 
Should be a Wisconsin VF4D engine.

Hi, I Wanted to Thank You in the forum. I am knew to this and also have a new computer with windows 7 on it that I am not so sure of which way it wants to go or where it will land ..... You said you would send a download link for the skidsteer that would be great. In Advance once again Thank You Chuck
