I keep posting questions but I'm a newbie and I really do a ton of research before I ever reach out for advice. As you may have guessed from my other posts, I'm trying to buy my first skid steer. I don't have much in the way of property, about an acre and a large shop and a barn, but with access to my place being somewhat limited, I've decided that a skid steer will come in real handy. I'm a metal fabricator by hobby and have been building custom motorcycles and vehicles for the past 10 years as well. That being said, I have no fundamental opposition to older machines. I know about all the updated features of the newer machines, quick attach, quieter, easier to control, non obsolete parts, ect.... however I can't justify spending $8k-$20k on a used modern machine. I have found some that need motors and stuff but have also found those unites to be hard to find parts for. A local guy contacted me because his dad has an old NH L775 he'd like to get rid of. has a small farm and because he has several tractors, he just doesn't use it as much as he thought he would. The skid steer is in awesome shape. The tires are like new. It has a Wisconsin gas engine that runs great. No hydro leaks or other annoying maintenance issues. Last year it started creeping on him and he spent $600 in parts to fix that issue. He is selling it with 2 buckets (big and smaller) and a set of pallet forks. He also has a complete parts skid steer (minus the motor) that goes with it that is also in good condition. Asking $3000. Now I've looked at some from $3000-$4000 that need engines or other odds and ends, but there's nothing like buying something that is running and being used. I've researched the L775 quite extensively but just haven't found much other than the specs. Does anyone have any experience with this loader? [QUOTE="Kellen, post: 98927, member: 14550"] Hey guys. I have found some that need motors and stuff but have also found those unites to be hard to find parts for. A local guy contacted me because his dad has an old NH L775 he'd like to get rid of. has a small farm and because he has several tractors, he just doesn't use it as much as he thought he would.
