well my 743b started leaking oil out the front seal. the oil is really black. I had changed it but it went black pretty quick. I drained the oil and left the drain open all night. really don't like the drain hose set up. went to bobcat to pick up a part and I asked them about the seal. I couldn't find a picture in my manual. they showed me on the computer and the tech that was assisting him told me should replace the seal, collar and o ring. pretty apparent he was right. they ordered the parts. I got them yesterday and install them. put new hi mileage oil in it. fired it up and let it run for 10 minutes at 3/4 throttle. no leaks and it really stopped smoking although sometimes it acts like a gas motor where I sounds a miss so I am wondering if maybe I need to replace the injectors or clean them. for the most part it sounds good. just a hiss very so often. what do you think.

Diesel oil doesn't stay clean for long after a change, that's pretty typical.
As for the miss, before pulling the injectors, try giving it a dose of Seafoam and Marvel mystery oil. About a pint of each mixed up in a gallon of fuel, added to about half a tank and run it for a bit. It won't hurt anything at worst and at best it can clean up some slightly crudded up rings and injectors and make it run better.
