Just purchased a sweet gehl 4840 with 1200 hrs. Changing all fluids and filters to get going. I removed the remote engine oil drain plug behind the rear left tire. Seems to drain awfully slow. Also, will this drain the engine oil completely? Also, if this has an oil cooler, will that have to be drained as well or does it drain with remote drain plug removed? Thanks

To speed up the oil drain, you warm the engine up first, then let it drain.
If it has an oil cooler, it should still flow out, you never get it all, but you should get most of it.

Yes, I did see that in the general operators manual and my bad. Will warm it up next oil change. Also, indeed only 8qts drained out. My manual lists 11.5qts. Perhaps if it were warm, more of the remaining 3.5qts or so may of drained as well. Anyway, I replaced the oil with 15-40 along with a new filter and off and running. Gave it a bit of a workout tonight and overall am very satisfied. Noticed the left foot pedal seems to stick now and then thus continuing to raise or lower the bucket. Is there a grease point or adjustment for that? 1200hr machine. Tight lift arms and smooth running.

Not sure if there are any grease points, but the linkages can get rust in them and slow things down, just check their path and check for any points of it binding.
Good to hear you are happy with the machine

I recently purchased a used 4625SX and went to the local dealer and had them order a shop manual - best $50 I've ever spent.
