Which model 763 do you have, a F,G ?? Did you check try switching any of the relays around. There is a relay that powers up the whole machine, try switching that with a relay the runs the lights. Also above the battery, there is a main fuse that also sends power to the machine. If that fuse isnt getting proper contact, it will not let the machine power up. You can find this fuse by following the + battery cable strait up. The red, positive battery cable is split into two cables, one goes to the starter, the other goes strait up into a smallish, black plastic box. This black box has a cover that pops open from the bottom. Once inside, the red battery cable is bolted onto the fuse terminal. Its not uncommon for this terminal to get corroded from time to time. If this contact is too dirty or just loose, the machine will not power up. I hope this is your issue, because its a easy fix. Good luck.
