1996 863 Deutz My machine started to stutter when I was trying to lift some snow. The arm and bucket were only working intermittently. I checked the hydraulic fluid and found out that it was low on oil. I didn't notice any leaks. Final total fill it back up was 3 1/2 gallons. It worked for a few minutes and then started to stutter again. I then lost all hydraulics. Machine won't move forward or backward, the arm won't lift, and the bucket won't move. It is now stuck in the snow and can't be moved because the wheels won't turn. Could I have burned up the hydraulic pump? Could I have a vapor lock of some sort? How would I check the hydraulic pump? The belt is turning the hydraulic pump. Where would be a good place to start diagnosing this problem? Is there a way to unlock the wheels so I can try to roll it into my shop?

You can take the hoses off the drive motors but have to keep it clean I would try something under the tires and slide it steal the kids sausers

What do you mean about a loose drive?
I meant to say drive belt. The pumps are driven by a belt off the engine. If broken you get no hydraulics or hydrostatics. If the belt is loose and gets wet from plowing snow it will slip causing erratic function.

Sorry OM internet cut out
The belt is turning the pump. I lifted up the cab and checked inside and there's no hydraulic fluid there. Does this hydraulic system need to be primed? Before this machine quit I stood on the bucket getting in the cab, with it about a foot off the ground, and it seemed to have a Spongy feel to it.
