NH L783 float function

have a L783 can't seem to get the float function to lock in when pushing down on the loader boom pedal,
my L553 snaps in good the 783 not so much haven't found anything in the service manual that I have
any sugestions thanks in advance

I am not familiar with that machine but most machines depend on a detent ball and spring in the valve. These can and do break or wear out.
 
Does that machine actually have a "float function"?
I dont think my late 1990's lx865 does. (I think there was an option for it ... maybe?)
 
I have a 753 and mines doing the same thing. I did pedal adjustments to try and gain more stroke forward with no luck. Just had my spools out so I know the spring and balls are in there.

Maybe just really need to push on it to get it in but I'm fearing I will break something if I push too hard.

Did you have luck getting it to work?
