I have a New Holland L160 with a kinked and stuck throttle cable. When you throttle up, the throttle lever pulls the little cable up, and when you throttle down, it pushes the cable back through the little hole... Something got that cable jammed up so much that it bent over and two cable strands broke. I currently can't get the skidsteer to throttle down.
There is a fair amount powdery rubber jammed up in the hole that the cable goes into, wondering if the sleeve disintegrated over time and packed that hole so much that the cable couldn't move through anymore.
I'm trying to pull the rubber gunk out of that hole to free it up. It would be really helpful if anyone had photos of how the throttle cable linkage looks underneath the metal panel. Or some ideas on what to look for, as it could be the cable is jammed up somewhere else on it's way to the engine and that's what's causing the resistance. Thanks for the help.
