Hello

I recently got a Bobcat 610 which located a mile away from home which is not running.

I do not have a trailer to tow it home. Wondering if possible to tow home with a pick truck. without damaging drive system ?

Looked on internet was unable to find information the Service Manual I have does not mention towing.

Is this possible or do I have to rent a trailer ?

Anything is possible but if it were me I would rent or barrow a trailer.

These machines are only meant to go about 5mph on there own power.

If I remember correctly those were a clutch machines so if the handles are in the neutral postion it is gonna roll, with that said I had 500 and it had no brakes so on a incline it would take off rolling unpowered. If you had some type of tow bar and a small tractor going slow it could be done. Remember to secure the bucket well .

I agree with Foton, secure the bucket up, probably need a driver in the seat to steer by controller just like going downhill, when it starts to drift. Easy peasy. Should be no problems unless the gearbox is full of water. The wheels are free when the clutch levers aren't pushed. When the engine is running, hydraulic fluid is pumped into the clutches so they are properly lubed. Not much of an issue for one or two miles. The wheel bearings are greased units.
