Hi. I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with my skid steer. NH LX865 keeps blowing the the EIC fuse. It will run in service mode. At first I was convinced I had a short in the seat belt circuit. Destroyed it and placed a toggle switch in place to confirm...that wasn't it.. $150.00 mistake. Now I think its in the seat switch(es). If I crank up the machine it will run for about 5-10 seconds and blow the 5amp eic fuse. Now, start over with new fuse, reset seat belt and crank machine: If I immediately take pressure off the seat the machine continues to run?? When I put pressure back on the seat if blows the fuse. Wondering if I got a short in one of the switches. Jumped the plugs, same problem. I do not see any breaks in the wiring loom under the seat. (haven't stripped the loom yet) I'm out of Ideas. Maybe related to something entirely different. Am I looking in the right place? I figured before I start throwing money at it I'd see if any of you guys (or gals) have been there and done this or can offer advice. Thanks for any help.

You might try unplugging the boom and bucket solenoids on the control valve. If one of the solenoids is bad it can cause the fuse to blow. When you get out of the seat the EIC stops sending current to the solenoids. Don't overlook the seat harness though. A lot of people like to store things behind the seat which can damage the harness. A seat switch causing the problem is unlikely but I guess not impossible.

Thanks Mike. I'll check it out this afternoon. I know EIC gets power from 5 points. I'll start with your suggestion and go from there.
