I recently picked up a NH 565 skid steer. When I first got it it would crank over start and immediately shut down I picked up a new hydraulic sensor Switch. That solved the problem, I was using it. probably after a couple of hours usage does the same thing. Went back a day later and again it worked fine . It's doing the same thing but I don't think it the sensor. Any thoughts

Moved to the NH section where the resident gurus are more likely to see it.
Since it's intermittent, I'd suspect a connector or computer ground that has a bit of corrosion that sends spurious signals, that's where I'd start.

Thanks, I'm new to this forum thing. I suspect you may be correct with the electrical recomendation. It started again and ran fine. I tried pressing the open book symbol on the EIC and flipped the service /run switch a few times and it locked out the hydraulics then would not run on "run". Going to inspect these two things for corrosion.

There's a safety interlock relay that can cause no start issues. The service/run switch bypasses the seat beat and seat switch but locks out the boom and I think the bucket as well. You may have a broken wire in the engine harness that makes intermittent contact. Get a test light at the fuel solenoid and jump out the seat switch and belt switch. turn the key on and see if the test light comes on-if not start wiggling the wires on the engine harness and see if the test light comes on. If it does start hunting a broken wire. Sometimes the wiring is spliced and feeds different things off one wire and it will be broke at the splice. Electrical takes 10 hours to find and 10 minutes to fix.Give us your exact model and serial number too-that helps with wiring diagrams and such.

Thanks, I'll check that out. I'm in the process of cleaning up the rodent debris in the channel behind the EIC and switches. I also found corrosion at the terminals of Run/service switch, light switch and corrosion at the chassis ground. Hopefully this lead to the issues I am having. I'll let you know. That channel behind the EIC is a perfect home for chipmunks and nice.

I woul inspect the harness closely. I made mention of that because I had an LT185B that was running me crazy-it would start and work then next time it would turn over but not start. Walk away and come back and it would start right up. I wanted to set fire to it. Turned out there was a a hot wire that went to the injection pump shutdown solenoid, oil pressure sending unit and cold start solenoid. The wire in the splice that went to the shut off was broken inside the insulation jacket. Wiggle it and it would make contact and start. Wiggle it and it would shut off. I honestly would start there. Good luck!
