Hello all, A couple of weeks ago I purchased an L553. Used it a bunch already and love it (had it started without ether in 10 degree weather when I purchased it). The only thing I am unsure about is that when I curl the bucket all the way up it drops back down a few inches. No more than a few inches, when I curl it up again it drops again. I have already moved a lot of manure and moved around 1200lb round hay bales and it didn't drop more than that little bit. Any idea what my problem could be? My first thought was air in the hydraulic line but not sure. If you think you have an answer, please give me some instructions on how to fix. It is my first skid steer, so I have not worked on any of them yet.

Is it the lip of the bucket dropping a few inches ? When it does watch the cylinder rod, if it moves only a fraction of a inch the nut holding the piston may be backing off. Does that have a single tilt cylinder or two? If just one I'd take it apart to see whats going on.

With the bucket off the ground and tilted back shut the machine off and get out and see if you can move the bucket up and down, may be just worn linkage or mounting pins and bushings too.
