The fuel lines on an LX 865 come out of the tank to the filter housing/electric fuel pump, and then directly to the injection pump from there. Make sure that the electric fuel pump is running when you turn the key on. It may not be working and that will cause the machines to not run properly. Make sure the pickup tube is not plugged and there isn't a restriction in the fuel lines. What is the condition of your belly pan, I have seen them get smashed up into the fuel tank and the pickup tube makes contact w/ the bottom of the tank and not suck up the fuel properly. There are several little things that it could be. If it is the injection pump you will need someone that is familiar with the machines to remove and reinstall the pump. The pump is not keyed to the gear that drives it. There is a taper fit and a nut that hold it tight. If not timed properly things can go even further south in a hurry. The proper timing cannot be achieved without a special tool to determine the position of the injection pump, and reset the pump to that spot when it returns from the shop. Injection pumps that we have had rebuilt cost in the range from $600.00 to $1300.00 to rebuild.
