[QUOTE="mrbb, post: 141108, member: 13825"] well, I think you might be wrong on both fluids, as from my memory, the older NH, used either 30 w or 10w30 oil in there hydraulic systems, same oil as in there motors at the time, so neither of the fluids you have been using are right!(most likely) that said, I know from having seen many posts of where folks switched to different fluids and claimed they were fine, even mixing fluids I GUESS you MIGHT be fine as is! its a guess! as there is never a way to fully drain a system completely, there is always old fluid in hoses and motors/pumps and so on! which add up to a lot of fluid, left behind, that gets mixed, this is why they basically tell you to use correct fluids, so there is no chance of having side effects of mixing different blends/weights designs of fluids, mixing doesn't mean it will be BAD but also doesn't mean it cannot be bad, either! So like I said, NOT using the OEM correct fluid is, up to you, and no one here can tell you it will be 1000% Good for your system they designed things to be used with fluids they found worked best altering off this, is a gamble of sorts some times you will be fine, but I gather others times you could run into issues your machine, your call!
