I am new to the forum, and somewhat new to owning a skid steer. My 743 is in need of some work. I bought it from a buddy of mine a couple years back, and there are some things about it that need work. I have just dealt with it, but now it's time to get serious and fix it. First is the fuel stop cable. I kept having problems with it, and upon further inspection, I realized that it is missing a proper bracket to attached the cable at the engine. The cable sleeve has a zip tie to attach it to the engine bracket. The rest of the machine is totally intact, and just the way it came. There must be a clamp bracket of some sort to hold it, which is missing from my machine. Anyone have a photo of what it should look like? I bought a DVD of the parts manual, but the illustration is so poorly done that I can't even tell for sure which part I need. Thanks in advance for your help guys! This looks like a great forum.

I'm going to be working on my 743 this morning, I'll take and post some pix of that bracket this afternoon.

Here you go, I forgot all about it until just now! If you have that slotted bracket that the throttle lever mounts on, then all you are missing are the two clips that go on the shut-off cable on both sides of that slot. Maybe Dorman has them in their auto-parts catalog? Hmm... how do I attach pix? Email me, and I will send direct.
