Hello, Been lurking the site a few months and learning a lot. Thanks to everyone for sharing a lot of great information. I'm not new to Bobcat skid steers in general. From 1987 to 1997 I was a landscape construction contractor in AZ and put a total of about 3500 hours on a couple of 443's. Early this year I picked up a 1984 743 to get my Missouri property in shape. Looking forward to learning a lot more and sharing anything I know in the future. Bill

Welcome to the site.
A 743 is a good machine, i have bought and sold quite a few of them.

Thanks Tazza for the affirmation. It seems to be the right size for my needs and very durable. From reading here and and some of the experience of friends I was sure all the computer and electronics in newer machines would be wrong for me.

It is a good sided machine, over here in .au, it is the most popular size.
The lack of electronics means you don't need to take it to the dealer, quite a few parts are available after market too.
