Hello everybody, my name is Cory just purchased my first machine today from the local dealer its an 853 with 4800 hours, it came with a bucket and set of forks and hes throwing in a service manual and a good used tire to match the other three on the machine out the door for $4500 the engine runs good and started right up this morning with no glow plugs after a 20 degree night, white smoked for a few seconds and then cleared up with very little blowby. I checked all the wheel bearings theyre all tight and the drive chains seem tight as well. It does have a few hydraulic leaks on the hydrostat units where the steering controls are and the attachment plate end of the tilt cylinder is pretty sloppy, it seems pretty tight otherwise with no cracks or repairs. Any known issues with these machines i should look for? Thoughts on if the pricing was inline for the machine? Looking forward to getting to know you guys. Have a good one!

Sound like your doing good take a look at all your fluids don't want any milky oil don't forget your chaincase

Thank you sir nice to meet you, the engine oil and filter was just changed by the dealer and I didnt think to look at hydraulic oil and actually how do you check it? As well as chaincases? The dealer was going to spend the rest of the week getting the machine ready washing it, changing the one bald tire out for a good used one, fixing a leak on one of the other tires and ordering the service manual so I wont have the machine til probably friday or so.
