I bought a new Lucas TVS alternator for my Lx885 which has fewer connection points than the old one. Some points are obvious some are not and would like some clarification before I fry it.
can you maybe email the OEM of alt and ask for a schematic of things, which will show you what all connections are for then, and be exact for it, rather than maybe us guessing wrong by mistake?

Yes that's a good idea. Nothing seems to be available on the web for the particular model. I wasn't asking for a guess. I would assume someone having done the same thing would know if they had got it right or not. Details of the alternator would have followed for a helpful owner. Thx for the suggestion.
