I have a prime mover ls70 that won't drive. I read that towing even a shot distance can damage the pumps. They might already be bad but I want to get it to. My shop to work on it what is the easiest way to disconnect the pumps (on the side of the road.) Or would tying the levers forward keep the pumps from being damaged

If it move freely while the levers are pushed then the motors will be fine.

If not, then you will need to remove the hydro lines from the motors. This is very messy and you want to make sure you don’t get any dirt in the motors or hoses. You will want to cap/plug the hoses or you will most likely loose all of your hydro oil. DO NOT CAP/PLUG THE MOTORS.

Moved too easy .the problem of it not driving but rolling easy would this indicate a problem with the motors or the pumps?

do the hydraulics work? if not the pump coupler may have wore out

The hydraulics are working and I have charge pressure but no system pressure. Next is to look for the charge check valve? The pump manual says if that's ok and still nothing to replace the pumps and motors, a bit extreme for my budget. With only a 20hp motor it looks like a system out of a zero turn mower might be the most economic route. Sourcing original is way out of my budget
