I have an intermittent loss of the safety switches input causing the bucket hydraulics to lock. I have my door on so at times I am locked in until the dash lights back up again. I know it is only a matter of time I get locked in so last time I had boom down and bucket locked up I parked the skid loader to get it figured out. Since then I cannot find anything apparent from reading the forums plus the bucket has yet to unlock so I guess I got lucky. I tested the seat & seat belt safety switches and they work - no issue - power in & power out, potential there, no resistance.. however I am not getting power to the solenoids below the floor plate. So somewhere I have a break - however all the harness under the seat is in great shape and all connectors that I can see are in good shape - unlpug & replug with no corrosion. Could there be a relay somewhere? Can anyone email me the wiring diagram to see how the system works? [email protected] Thanks, Rick

If the boom solenoid does not lock up then the solenoid on the bucket spool is bad. When the solenoids go bad, at first, they will usually only lock up one pedal. Eventually they get bad enough where they will lock up both the lift and the bucket spools. Just unplug the bucket solenoid and see if the boom will then work. You will probably need to get out of the seat so the system can reset. There are no relays. The power comes from the instrument panel. When the resistence gets to high the instrument panel will kick out both sonlenoids. If you do not know which is going bad, unplug one at a time and see if the other works. One must be plugged in at all times to do the check.
