I have a JD 8875 made by new holland and apparently JD didn't change the manuals as time went on and things changed. I have the "correct" set for my machine but it's wrong. My 1998 JD has the combined use oil for the chain case and the gearbox's. Earlier the gearbox's had separate dipsticks and used different oil than the chain cases. Using the search here people have given contradicting info on what each takes and I'd just like to find out exactly what type oil new Holland calls for in the 1998 machines without dipsticks that shared the oil. Is it 10w30 or gear oil? Thanks guys!
