So recently I've begun to smell a very slight hint of burning oil coming from my Bobcat occasionally. Mostly when I go backwards which I believe is just because I'm backing into the smell. It has never done this before and just started after I replaced two hydraulic lines and both filters. Changed engine oil and filter. And replaced all the oil in the chain case. The chain case was almost out of oil when I changed it. Also when I replace the engine oil I accidentally overfilled it a pretty decent amount. I figured that might be it so I took the oil level down to the correct height. But I am still getting a whiff of the burning oil smell occasionally. Any idea what may be causing this or things that I should check?

Chances are with all the changing and filling, you might have spilled some on an exhaust manifold, or somewhere else on the engine block. Even if you wiped it up, the cast metal is rough and porous and will burn off residue for a while.
When you notice it, have a look and see if you can see some slight smoke emanating from somewhere. If it's not a fresh leak it's probably residual that just takes time. Even when you pull the dipstick on a car to check the oil and one drop hits the manifold it takes quite a while for the smell to go away.
