Since you are loosing both hyd pressure and charge pressure, I would be looking at the components between the standpipe and control valve. The hydraulic flow starts at the standpipe screen, goes to the hyd pump, to the control valve, to the cooler and then to a check vavle. The check valve is what generates charge pressure for the hydrastats. Since you are loosing boom lift speed at the same time the charge pressure light is on the problem is upstream from the charge check valve The possibilities that affect boom speed are standpipe screen plugged, colasping suction hose between standpipe and hyd pump, hyd pump, control valve releif valve. I do not think a faulty control valve relief valve would cause the hydrastat light to come on since the bypassed oil is going back the return line to the cooler and to the charge check vavle. You need to have someone install a flow meter between the hyd pump and the control valve so you can narrow the posibilities down. The dealer is right in that there is no way to get all the old oil out of the system. If you have a hydrastat failure you need to disassemble everything to get the oil out including the lift and bucket cylinders. As long as you use a quality oil and original equipment filters, and replace them regularly, I would not loose any sleep over that issue.
